Portia Dery has been named Queen’s young leader highly commended runner-up 2016 for Ghana. The Queen’s Young Leader Award recognizes and celebrates exceptional people aged 18-29 from across the Commonwealth, who are taking the lead in their communities and using their skills to transform lives.
The search began on 9 July 2014, on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, by Their Royal Highnesses The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry to discover, celebrate and support young people from across the Commonwealth
Portia will be receiving mentoring and a tailored leadership development package from Cambridge University under the Queen’s Young Leader program.
